It feels like the Saw “reimagining” was only just announced (in fact, it was) but the cogs and gears are already turning. Director Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III, and IV) teased on Twitter this week that the film starts shooting “in just a few days.”
Written by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg (Jigsaw), the screenplay was based on a story conceived by comedian Chris Rock. Rock will also star in the film, which aims to expand the Saw universe. There’s no word yet on whether Tobin Bell, the face of the franchise, will make an appearance, but I for one am keeping all my severed fingers and toes crossed.
This new instalment in the Saw franchise will arrive in theatres on October 23, 2020.
