We announced back in May that David S. Goyer is writing a new Hellraiser film. But the Cenobites can’t be contained that easily because an unrelated Hellraiser TV series is also in the works.
Producers Roy Lee (It) and Dan Farah (Ready Player One) have teamed up with Lawrence Kuppin, David Salzman, and Eric Gardner who have controlled the franchise’s TV rights since 1989. Together, they plan to bring Hellraiser to the small screen for the very first time, potentially as an anthology series, though they haven’t ruled out a straightforward narrative.
The producers plan to find a writer and showrunner before handing the puzzle box over to a network or streaming service. Until then, we can only speculate what sights the series has to show us…
