Fede Alvarez, who directed Don’t Breathe and the excellent Evil Dead remake, and Rodo Sayagues, his writing partner on both those projects, have just closed an overall film deal with Legendary Pictures. Not only will their production banner Bad Hombre Films be producing a reboot of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (yes, another one), but they’ll also be creating, developing, and producing an untitled horror film that’s being described as The Shining if it was set in The White House.
Plot details are still under wraps, but with a premise like that, we’re intrigued. Alvarez is on board to direct the flick, which was written by Joe Epstein.
