BBC Films and A24 have just released The Fall, a chilling new short film from Jonathan Glazer (Under the Skin).
In The Fall, which is simple but creepily crafted, a masked mob cruelly punishes a lone masked man, seemingly without rhyme or reason. Discussing the film, Glazer told The Guardian last month, “I think fear is ever-present. And that drives people to irrational behaviour. A mob encourages an abdication of personal responsibility. The rise of National Socialism in Germany for instance was like a fever that took hold of people. We can see that happening again.”
