Last year brought the exciting news that Collider Games, Showtime, and David Lynch were collaborating on an official virtual reality game called Twin Peaks VR, which was described as a detailed and authentic first-person journey through the mysterious world crafted by Lynch and Mark Frost. And you’ll soon be able to step into that strange, strange world, because the game will be releasing sometime later this month.
Combining elements of the supernatural, adventure, and escape room genres, Twin Peaks VR will allow you to explore various iconic locations from the show, including the Red Room, Sheriff’s Department, Glass Box Observation, and Glastonbury Grove. Users will be challenged to solve puzzles and discover easter eggs, all while enjoying countless references to the series and its 30-year history.
The game is heading to Steam by the end of the year and will be available for Oculus Rift, Oculus Rift-S, HTC Vive, and HTC Vive Cosmos, with Oculus Quest and PlayStationVR versions expected at a later date. Just be careful drinking your damn fine cup of coffee with the VR headset on.
