The 2010s decade appeared to be the golden age regarding horror movies and the speed doesn’t seem to change in the 2020s either. The momentum for the new horror movies is catching up the speed with horror releases presenting a wider variety that meets all tastes in the spectrum of literary pieces and film classifieds. And it’s just the beginning, there are plenty of streaming and VOD titles set to be announced. Now that you know what to anticipate for the year 2020, knowing there are many channels to keep up to speed, I am sure Vontronix TV will keep you on track and won’t let you down even if you are on a budget.

Here is a list I have prepared for you to watch out for in 2020. The list proves to be the genesis of a great 2020 in horror movies plus more fun. Just make sure you don’t get yourself involved in the movie. Here is what most horror movie lovers are looking up to in 2020.

The Grudge
The plot in this movie is about a house that dooms anyone who enters in with violent death. J-horror classics is used by Nicolas Pesce as a starting point, crafting a powerful re-imagination from its predecessors. Nicolas is the director behind “The Eyes of My Mother”, and the famous “Piercing”. We can’t wait to find out if he will be successful to hoodwink the screens with the Grudge.

Underwater
This is another one of a kind the director William Eubank in “The Signal ” 2014, he plots a deep-sea horror film that is centered around researchers puzzling to get the safety as the earthquake destroys their underwater station. The journey gets complicated by a monstrous lurking the ocean floor. I know you can’t wait to see this as I do!

The Turning
It features a modern take-on Henry’s classic Novella with the label “The Turn-of-the Screw”. Where Mackenzie Davis stars Kate, a young and inexperienced governess who was hired by her uncle to take care of his late sister’s kids. There is something sinister and supernatural regarding her new wards. This film will thrill you so much.

Color Out of Space
In Color Out of Space Richard Stanley assumes the director’s seat by adapting one of the H.P Lovecraft’s popular stories. And then a meteorite lands on the yard of Gardner’s family home, with it marking the beginning of unimaginable horrors. What do you expect? Things get trippy as Nicolas Cage stars Gardner as the patriarch of the family.

Gretel and Hansel
Oz Perkins gives a fairy tale for the horror treatment. Sofia Lillis stars Gretel who takes her brother into the woods while searching for work and food, where they encounter Alice Krige who plays the role of an evil witch. The thriller I bet you don’t want to miss out.

Come to Daddy
The movie is not an outright horror movie, but it is a thriller that you can’t miss. In the movie, Elijah Woods stars a mid-age fellow who travels for a long distance to meet with his alienated father. The bonding between the two becomes more dangerous and awkward than expected. Watch out for this movie, it’s breathtaking.

The lodge
It involves one soon-to-be stepmother of her fiancé’s children over their holiday when duty calls her to work. The relationship amongst the three begins to thaw up when frightening and strange events devastates everything.

After midnight
If you are looking for a mix of romance, horror and sci-fi movie, this film by Christian Stella and Jeremy Gardner is up for your selection. Gardner stars as a man whose life crumbles after his girlfriend suddenly disappears. Her departure from home coincides with the arrival of a monster who is determined to break in.
