Warner Bros will no longer be releasing James Wan’s Malignant on August 14th. Wonder Woman 1984 has been slated for theatrical release on that date instead, though with so much uncertainty still surrounding the coronavirus situation, it remains to be seen whether theatres will even be open again at that time.
Malignant is the first horror film that Wan has directed since 2016’s The Conjuring 2. The cast includes Annabelle Wallis (Annabelle), Maddie Hasson (We Summon the Darkness), Mckenna Grace (Annabelle Comes Home), George Young (Containment), Jake Abel (Supernatural), and Ingrid Bisu (The Nun).
Currently, no new release date has been announced for Malignant. We’ll keep you posted when that changes.
