Fede Álvarez (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe) is set to direct upcoming zombie horror film 16 States for Lionsgate.
Written by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, the film is rumoured to revolve around a road trip occurring during a pandemic. Plot details are under wraps, but sources say the project has shades of the Will Smith zombie movie I Am Legend.
Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee and Miri Yoon are producing alongside Zaftig Films’ Requa, Ficarra, and Charlie Gogolak, and Bad Hombre’s Álvarez, Shintaro Shimosawa, and Rodolfo Sayagues.
