HBO has released the first official teaser trailer (below) for its new horror-drama series Lovecraft Country.
Based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Matt Ruff, the series stars Jonathan Majors as Atticus Black. Along with his friend Letitia (Jurnee Smollett-Ball) and his Uncle George (Courtney B. Vance), Atticus embarks on a road trip across Jim Crow America in search of his missing father (Michael Kenneth Williams). What follows is a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America—and horrifying Lovecraftian monsters.
Lovecraft Country is showrun and executive produced by Misha Green. Jordan Peele and J. J. Abrams are among the other executive producers.
