Last year, Amazon ordered a pilot episode for a potential series based on 90s slasher I Know What You Did Last Summer—and a series is now officially in the works!
Sara Goodman is writing and executive producing the series for Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures TV. James Wan is producing through Atomic Monster alongside Michael Clear and Rob Hackett.
The show will have a similar premise to the 1997 movie, which saw four young friends bound by a tragic accident being stalked by a hook-wielding maniac in their small seaside town. The film was directed by Jim Gillespie and starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Freddie Prinze Jr.
