Christopher Landon, writer of Paranormal Activity 2-5, is returning to the franchise! He’s on board to pen the next film in the series, which William Eubank (Underwater) will direct.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new instalment is being described as an “unexpected retooling of the franchise.” Plot details are currently under wraps, but we know that it will continue with the found footage framing.
Jason Blum and Oren Pell will produce the film, which is currently slated for release on March 4, 2022. This will be the seventh instalment in the popular franchise, which began way back in 2009.
