Set to make its world premiere at FrightFest later this month, The Last Rite has shared a teaser trailer that captures a harrowing exorcism on tape.
In the film, a medical student called Lucy who suffers from sleep paralysis finds herself plagued by a demonic entity after moving in with her boyfriend. Torn between sanity and the unknown, Lucy seeks help from a local priest, Father Roberts, who is forced to make a deathly choice. With the clock ticking, should he obey orders or conduct his own exorcism to help Lucy escape the dark force consuming her from the inside—against the orders of the church?
The Last Rite is the feature debut of writer-director Leroy Kincaide. Johnny Fleming, Bethan Waller, and Tara Hoyos-Martinez star.
