The cast is growing for Morgan Creek Entertainment’s small screen adaptation of David Cronenberg’s Dead Ringers. The latest addition? Poppy Liu (Hacks, Better Call Saul).
She joins the previously announced Rachel Weisz (The Mummy) and Michael Chernus (Werewolves Within). The series will follow the Mantle twins (Weisz), identical in both looks and success. Brilliant OB-gyn’s, they’re on a mission to change the way women birth, starting with Manhattan. But their unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes will lead them to push the boundaries of medical ethics.
Liu will play Greta, the twins’ watchful and meticulous house manager. She runs their lives with complete efficiency—but she has a hidden agenda.
Amazon gave a straight-to-series order for Dead Ringers, which is being written by Alice Birch. In addition to playing dual roles, Weisz will executive produce.
