From director Filip Jan Rymsza, Mosquito State is set to draw blood from Shudder on August 26th—and a new clip (below) teases the strange nightmare in store.
In the film, obsessive Wall Street data analyst Richard Boca (Beau Knapp) is isolated in his austere penthouse overlooking Central Park, seeing ominous patterns. His computer models are behaving erratically, as are the swarms of mosquitos breeding in his apartment—an infestation that attends his psychological meltdown.
Winner of the Bisato d’Oro for Best Cinematography at the Venice Film Festival in 2020, Mosquito State was co-written by Rymsza and Mario Zermeno. In addition to Knapp, the film stars Charlotte Vega (Wrong Turn), Jack Kesy (The Outpost), and Olivier Martinez (Taking Lives).
