Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that a sequel to The Nun is in the works, with Michael Chaves (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) in the director’s seat. Better yet, Bonnie Aarons will reprise her role as the demonic nun, Valak.
Valak first appeared in 2016’s The Conjuring 2, which centred around the infamous Enfield Poltergeist case. 2018’s The Nun served as a prequel to The Conjuring films, ending with Valak possessing a character who would eventually lead the demon to Ed and Lorraine Warren’s door.
Way back in 2019, Deadline reported that Akela Cooper (Malignant) was writing the sequel to The Nun. It’s unclear at this time whether that is still the case.
