Share & Splatter More Blood Around

Chucky has become one of the most successful horror converts from the big screen to land a television gig. Drawing more that respectable numbers for dual networks USA and SyFy, the series has defied all industry expectations and continued to thrive.

Currently shooting its third season in Ontario, Canada, we know precious little about the plot details of this third chapter. We reported just a few weeks ago that a casting call had been issued for background actors to fill the roles of female prison inmates. Alongside this there was word of location shooting at an Ontario based penitentiary, the information giving only a tantalizing hint of what may be in store.

However, now we have something a little more solid to whet our appetite for more killer doll hijinks, as (most of) the third season episode titles have become public. What we have currently are the following:
3.1 – “1600”
3.2 – “Let the Right One In”
3.3 – “Jennifer’s Body”
3.4 – “Halloween III: Season of the Witch”
3.5 – “Anger, Denial, Bargaining, Depression, Murder
3.7 – “The Will Be Blood”
3.8 – “Final Destination”

Doesn’t that all sound so intriguing? As has become the norm for the show, we can see a great many of the episodes are named after classic or cult classic horror movies. It also appears that the team are keeping up with series tradition and including a Halloween episode in the mix, which statistically becomes a favourite among the fanbase.

What you may notice is that the title for episode six is missing. This is because it wasn’t made public whatsoever, which could quite possibly mean the episode title contains a vital spoiler that the creative minds want to keep as quiet as possible. Will Chucky season three contain a major twist? Will it perhaps end the show’s television reign? We’re looking at you, episode 8!

Unfortunately, all may not become clear for quite some time. Due to the recent SAG-AFTRA strike, production on the third season will likely be suspended, meaning that the show’s usual Fall premiere could be pushed back. We’ll be keeping an eye on things closely and bring you any further developments.
