Unfortunately, we knew this was coming, but it still doesn’t make the disappointment sting any less!

As a result of the SAG-AFTRA strike currently bringing Hollywood to a stand-still, Chucky has suspended production of their third season quite close to the wrap.

Filming began for the series’ third outing in March, meaning it has been before the cameras for four months. The cast and crew are keeping a very tight lid on the events of this season, meaning there has been no teaser trailer, no social media teases from star Jennifer Tilly, and radio silence from creator Don Mancini.

However, just last week as strike action loomed, most of the episode titles for the season ahead were released, giving us just the slightest glimpse into what lies ahead.

Now it seems we’ll have to wait even longer than the few months until the October premiere date for another round of killer doll hijinks. Regardless of how close the series was to wrapping up the third season, it seems unlikely that production can make their October deadline now, even if the strike action is resolved quickly.

But we must remember, everyone employed in any profession deserves to know their worth, and it is important that SAG-AFTRA members get their dues. We stand with the strike action, and hope Hollywood finally sits up and takes notice of the huge pool of talent they’re treating unfairly.

We’re quite sure Chucky will be back just as soon as he can, but even killer dolls deserve a fair shake, right?

We’ll keep our eye on the ongoing strike action and report any further developments or productions affected.
