Pride Month may be drawing to a close, but LGBTQ+ horror is forever. That’s why we’re thrilled to hear Shudder is teaming up once again with the producers of its documentary Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror to create an all-new doc, this time focused on queer horror cinema.
From writer/director Sam Wineman, this as-yet untitled feature length documentary will explore the complex past, present, and future of queer horror on film. From the silent era to the modern day and from queer pioneers to more problematic representation, no rainbow-coloured, blood-spattered stone will be left unturned.
Expect the documentary to hit Shudder in 2020.
