Sometime during the course of the English Civil War, a Royalist soldier (Daniel Oldroyd) cut off from his regiment encountered a lone Parliamentarian (William Young) in a clearing. Determining that there was something eerily wrong about their circumstances–including the repeated appearance of a hooded sorceress–the two foes had to table their animosities if their lives, and very souls, weren’t to be forfeit.
