John Carpenter has officially confirmed that not one but two sequels to 2018’s Halloween are in the works over at Blumhouse, with David Gordon Green returning to direct both. Better yet, Jamie Lee Curtis is on board to star, and Carpenter is involved (fingers crossed for two chilling new scores!).
The first sequel, Halloween Kills, will be released on October 16th, 2020. It will be followed by Halloween Ends on October 15th, 2021, which is intended to draw the saga of Laurie Strode and Michael Myers to a close.
Gordon Green, Danny McBride, and Scott Teems co-wrote the script for Halloween Kills. McBride also wrote the script for Halloween Ends, alongside Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier.
