It’s been a decade since Zombieland first introduced us to Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), Wichita (Emma Stone), and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin)—but we’ll be seeing more from them very soon. Zombieland: Double Tap will be unleashed in theatres this October, and if the new trailer is anything to go by, it looks as infectiously funny as its predecessor.
Ruben Fleischer returns to direct the sequel to the hit 2009 horror comedy, which saw a snarky band of survivors bickering through the zombie apocalypse. In Double Tap, our heroes fight their way to the White House, battle evolved breeds of zombies, and deal with some new additions to their unlikely family.
The original cast are all reprising their roles, with Luke Wilson, Zoey Deutch, Rosario Dawson, and Avan Jogia joining them for the ride. Original writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese also returned to pen the script and serve as executive producers, which explains why the trailer feels like such a seamless expansion of this world.
Zombieland: Double Tap will be released on October 18th, 2019. Chow down on a delicious Twinkie and watch the trailer below.
