It: Chapter Two hasn’t even hit theatres yet, but producer Barbara Muschietti is already teasing a tantalising director’s cut.
“We have some amazing scenes that didn’t make it into the movie,” she told Digital Spy earlier this week “You have to make choices sometimes and some things cannot be in this theatrical release but are definitely worthy of people seeing them at a later date.”
It’s not surprising that cuts were made: the film clocks in at a bum-numbing two hours and 45 minutes, so don’t forget to go to the bathroom before the opening credits roll. Luckily, director Andy Muschietti clarified that none of the cut scenes were deemed too scary for the theatrical release.
“Everything that is too scary is in the movie,” he said.
The circus comes to town on September 6th, 2019. You’ll float too in theatres and IMAX.
