Everardo Gout (who directed National Geographic’s Mars) has been tapped to helm the next Purge movie, slated for a summer 2020 release.
This will be the fifth film in The Purge franchise, which has also spawned a TV series. Franchise creator James DeMonaco, who will return to write the script, has suggested that this might be the final instalment, saying it will be a cool ending.
No title or plot details have been revealed just yet, but if this truly is the final chapter, we can’t wait to see whether the franchise will go out with a bang.
