If you were just thinking that there aren’t enough adaptations of The Turn of the Screw, 2020 has you covered. The classic Henry James ghost story serves as the inspiration for the feature film The Turning, Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House sequel titled The Haunting of Bly Manor, and an adaptation from Freeform simply called Turn of the Screw, the latter of which has just moved to Quibi, an upcoming short-form streaming service designed for mobile.
Turn of the Screw comes to us from Alexandra McNally (Under the Dome), Josh Berman (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), and Sony Pictures Television. The series will follow a young Mexican-American nanny hires to care for two children at their summer house on an idyllic island in the Pacific Northwest. But the job takes a sinister turn when she begins seeing ghosts.
Quibi launches in the U.S. on April 6th, 2020.
