Rosa Salazar, who played the title role in Alita: Battle Angel, will lead the cast of Netflix’s upcoming horror-thriller revenge series Brand New Cherry Flavor.
Adapted from the Todd Grimson novel of the same name, Brand New Cherry Flavor follows Lisa Nova (Salazar), an aspiring film director in 1990’s Los Angeles who embarks on a mild-altering journey of supernatural revenge. Catherine Keener (Get Out), Eric Lange (Lost), Jeff Ward (Channel Zero: No End House), and Manny Jacinto (The Good Place) will also star.
Channel Zero’s Nick Antosca and Lenore Zion wrote the series, which will consist of eight episodes. Arkasha Stevenson, another Channel Zero alumnus, will direct the pilot.
