There’s another Purge movie in the works over at Blumhouse, Platinum Dunes, and Universal, and Will Patton (Halloween 2018, Swamp Thing) has just joined the cast. Cassidy Freeman, Ana de la Reguera, and Tenoch Huerta will also star in the as-yet-untitled movie, which is slated for release on July 10th, 2020.
Little is known about the film’s plot at this time, but rumuor has it that it will move away from the typical metropolitan settings seen throughout the franchise, while still dealing with issues of race and class. The script was written by James DeMonaco, who created the franchise. Everardo Gout will direct.
