Sentient Entertainment has won the remake rights to The Others, the 2001 horror movie written and directed by Alejandro Amenábar.
The original film starred Nicole Kidman as Grace, a war widow living in her darkened family manor with her two photosensitive children. When strange events start occurring, Grace becomes convinced her home is haunted. But after the arrival of three mysterious servants, the house’s terrifying secrets are revealed.
Deadline reports that the remake will reinvent and modernise the story, with A-list talent and studio backers said to be interested.
