HBO Max is teaming up with J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions to create a series based on the Overlook Hotel, the fictional supernatural hotspot that is the setting for Stephen King’s The Shining.
Titled Overlook, the series is being described as a horror-thriller that will explore the untold stories of the Overlook Hotel. Warner Bros. Television will produce the show, which will be executive produced by Abrams, Ben Stephenson, and Rachel Rusch Rich.
