While most film productions shut down as a result of the coronavirus, director Kurt Wimmer’s fresh take on Children of the Corn continued shooting in Australia—and filming has just wrapped.
Based on Stephen King’s short story of the same name, Wimmer’s film details the events leading up to the children of a small Nebraska town massacring the adults, who irresponsibly ruined the crop. Elena Kampouris (Sacred Lies), Kate Moyer (Our House), Callan Mulvey (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), and Bruce Spence (Queen of the Damned) star.
Children of the Corn was previously adapted in 1984 by Fritz Kiersch. According to Variety, this new take has almost nothing to do with that film.
