Having enjoyed a successful festival circuit run, screening at a whopping grand total of 125 international fests and bagging 28 awards, Sergio Morcillo’s short film “GOTAS” is now available to stream online at no charge.
The short film generated plenty of buzz whilst on the circuit. Since debuting at Madrid’s Nocturna Festival back in 2017, Morcillo’s gruesome yarn just kept on hopping from continent to continent, even stopping off at the most recent edition of the Cannes Film Festival as one segment in the horror anthology “A Night of Horror: Nightmare Radio” directed by the Onetti brothers and produced by Black Mandala.
GOTAS reveals Sergio Morcillo’s darker side, revealing the gruesome truth of Marta, a teenage girl whose parents died two years ago. One night, while home alone, the true source of all her torment reveals itself … in Cronenbergian fashion.
The short is produced by Darko Decimavilla, penned by Santiago Taboada, and backed by the Community of Madrid. Right now Morcillo is focusing all his efforts on adapting GOTAS into a feature length version.
