Description
Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) returns to terrorize the dreams of the unborn child of the one girl who can stop him, in “A Nightmare on Elm Street, Part 5: The Dream Child” (1989). With Lisa Wilcox. The razor-gloved ghoul (Englund) may have gone down for good (but probably not) in “Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare” (1991), but he’s going to take the town of his Springfield and his own daughter with him! Lisa Zane, Yaphet Kotto also star, with a cameo by Johnny Depp. Not in 3-D. Then, Freddy jumps from the reel world to the real world in “Wes Craven’s New Nightmare” (1994) as a series of terrifying dreams leads actress Heather Langenkamp (as herself) to believe Krueger has to come to life. With Englund, Craven, and John Saxon also appearing as themselves. Finally, Krueger (Englund) battles hockey-masked “Friday the 13th” maniac Jason Voorhees in “Freddy vs. Jason” (2003), one of the biggest showdowns in Hollywood horror history. Ken Kirzinger, Kelly Rowland co-star. 6 1/2 hrs. total on two discs. Standard and Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital Surround stereo; Subtitles: English, Spanish; audio commentary; theatrical trailers.
